No more "Dirty Harry" for Eastwood
Cannes, France (Reuters) - Veteran Hollywood doer and theater director Clint Eastwood has no intention of returning to his famous part as tough-talking crime buster Soil Harry, despite rumors to the contrary.
Asked to remark on press reports that he planned to repeat the case wHO first appeared on screens in 1971, 77-year-old Eastwood replied:
"No. That rumor's incorrect." Eastwood was oral presentation at a news group discussion at the Cannes film fete, where his latest film starring Angelina Jolie is in the main competition.
Jolie, sitting alongside him joked: "I am", to which Eastwood replied:
"Begrime Harriet. The Tomb Raider will recreate it. I have no intention. In that location are certain things you take to be realistic around. Begrime Beset would not be on a constabulary section at my geezerhood so we'll move on from that."
But he recalled the role, and in item i of its most famous lines, with fancy. "It was a fantasy function to compass point a .44 Magnum at somebody and say 'Do you feel lucky?'"
The Oscar-winning music director made several references to his age, both send and indirect.
When a diary keeper congratulated him on his upcoming birthday, he looked slimly taken aback then said: "It's at least a week away, so rent me in peace."
